USEL YOUTH ROBOTICS 

Robotics- is an educational approach that introduces young students—typically ages 5 to 12—to the basics of robotics, programming, and engineering in a fun and engaging way. It combines hands-on learning with problem-solving and creativity.

Core Concepts Taught

  • Basic Programming: Using visual coding platforms like Scratch or Blockly to control robots.
  • Engineering Principles: Understanding how gears, motors, and sensors work.
  • Logical Thinking: Learning how to break down problems and create step-by-step solutions.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating on group projects and challenges.

 VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts)

VAPA is a broader educational initiative that includes:

  • Dance, Music, Theater, and Visual Arts
  • Programs like acrylic painting on canvasartistic perception, and cultural art history
  • Emphasis on art vocabularyaesthetic appreciation, and creative expression 

     

At Dorothy Grant Innovations Academy, students participate in VAPA programs through partnerships with organizations like the Theatrical Arts International Foundation. These programs help students explore their creativity while learning about the cultural and historical significance of the arts.
