Magnetic Reading Foundations

Dorothy Grant Innovations Academy is excited to share that we are using the Magnetic Reading Foundations program to help our youngest students in grades K, 1, and 2 build strong reading skills. This program makes learning to read fun and effective with activities that help kids recognize sounds, understand how books work, write letters correctly, and learn how letters and sounds go together. It also includes practice with common words, tips for figuring out tricky words, and techniques to help kids read smoothly and with expression. The program is used for 30-45 minutes each day alongside our regular reading lessons, with engaging stories and interactive activities to keep kids interested and motivated!

Phonics for Reading

In addition, we're thrilled to introduce the Phonics for Reading program, designed to give extra support to students in grades 3-5 who need a little help with their reading skills. This program makes reading easier and more enjoyable with activities that help kids understand how sounds work in words, learn how letters and sounds go together, practice with common words, and recognize and understand new words. It also includes techniques to help kids read smoothly and with expression. The program is engaging and age-appropriate, with interesting stories and activities that keep students motivated. With Phonics for Reading, Dorothy Grant Innovations Academy is committed to helping every student become a confident and successful reader!
